About BARC
BARC’s mission is to provide a safe haven for abandoned animals and to find permanent loving homes for them. While in our care, we provide them with quality food, shelter, medical attention, and the love they deserve.
We are a 501c3 not-for-profit, no-kill, privately run animal shelter located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Since we opened our doors in 1987, we have been able to provide care to animals through dedicated volunteers, our pet supply business, and private donations.

Happy Tails
I adopted two of my three cats from BARC--both of them were having a difficult time finding their "forever" homes, and my heart went out to them. I hope that my Happy Tails encourage other people to take a chance on a shy, fearful cat.
