Join BARC for a Valentine's Dinner Dance (all proceeds help BARC towards a new roof) at the Red Star in Greenpoint

Tickets:$100, includes all-you-can-eat buffet dinner, unlimited wine and beer, raffle prizes, dancing with live DJs.

Cobble Hill Animal Clinic is having a pet supply drive until December 22 for BARC.

If you want to donate anything off the wish list, please drop them off at their location at 173 Court Street.

BARC has partnered with Project Underdog for National Pitbull Awareness day on October 26,

there will be boxes with poop bags and information from some pet stores in Brooklyn

about de-mything pitbulls reputations, pick some up and share with friends.


Join BARC for another amazing Bingo night at the shelter, October 26th, Halloween weekend,
starts at 7PM. $10 entry plus 1 card, $5 additional.
All proceeds goes to help with getting new floors for the dog kennel



Brunch For BARC - Heirloom Vegan Eatery and Gristle Tattoo+Art Gallery is having a fundraiser Vegan brunch to

help BARC with new kennel floors.

October 20th, Sunday, 9am-12pm at Gristle, 178 North 8th street (L to Bedford/North 7-G to Nassau) $15 per person,

Southern Style Brunch (includes drink & Dessert), 20% will be donated to BARC shelter.

We are trying to raise funds for a new floor for our kennel, so please donate and spread the word,

we need this real bad as the old tiles are all cracked and have to replaced. If anybody

The new street name has been unveiled and up. Thanks to everybody that came to celebrate with us

Lil Bub is having a book signing/meet and greet at the Strand on Broadway, Union Square, 5th floor at 7 pm

on Thursday, September 5th, to promote his new book. BARC will have a table there so come by and say hi and donate.


Come join BARC as we celebrate the naming of Wythe Avenue corner of North 1st into BARC Avenue. There will live music,

refreshments and snacks. September 16, 2013, monday, 11:30 am sharp. Over 30 years of service in finding homes and a

better life for New York strays, thank you New York City and all our friends and communities.

YYYAAYY!! Lena Dunham (HBO's Girls, Tiny Furniture) + Mommy Laurie Simmons came to take home Repeat (now given the name Lamby), January 2013.

Congratulations also to Lena for winning 2 Golden globe awards for her show, Girls.

Thanks to everybody that came to meet Lil Bub at BARC last week. Definitely the Justin Beiber of the Cat kingdom,

over 400 people showed up to get their picture taken with this little princess, amazing! Love and respect to everyone

that donated to BARC too.

Local indie-pop music duo Matt and Kim, are currently on their LIGHTNING tour, they will be playing at Terminal 5 on thursday the 15th of November. Every stop on the

tour brings light to local animal shelters that the show the town is held in. BARC is their chosen shelter for their New York show and will be donating percent of their profits

to us. Kim will also hold a "win the shirt off Kim's back" raffle that will benefit BARC. If you come to this show, please stop by the BARC booth and say hello or pick up brochures

about animal care and shelters. Please support amazing musicians like Matt and Kim that give back to save animals in this world.

Dewey is doing very well indeed in his new home. His favorite activities include napping, eating, staring hungrily at pigeons out windows, waking people in early morning hours by intently gazing into eyes at a distance of one inch, opening all doors in the apartment (luckily, he's microchipped) and, having his chin rubbed. He's a doll.
