The Story
Scratch came to BARC when her person could no longer care for her. This girl can be very playful—she loves to gallop around chasing toys--but she also spends a lot of time just chllin'. Scratch needs to be the alpha cat with all the other loft residents, but in an endearing way--she looks out for her neighbors and shows concern when a kitty yowls while getting an injection! She’s ideal for someone who likes a pet with “cat-titude” and might be fine in a home with a male cat, but we wouldn’t recommend she live with another female cat or with children, as she occasionally lives up to her name. However, Scratch is likely to settle down once she’s in a new home where she feels safe and comfortable.
