The Story
Yankee is a male Yorkie mix, and he was found by a kind-hearted couple near some trash a couple weeks ago during the heatwave. He was near death, overheating, and couldn't walk. After examination, we found out that both his front and hind legs were probably bounded together with either tape or rope for a long time. He can still use his hind legs, but his front ones just cave in under him. He has the will to use them, and pushes up but falls on his face. So for now, he hops like a bunny or crawls like a mop, but it takes so much out of him. Due to this, he ended up with a weakened heart. Yankee is currently on a lot of medication to help him gain strength in his legs and a specialist is going to check on his heart condition. Yankee is up for adoption, but we want to make sure he is fully recovered. Until then, we need people's help, since his medications (and all his future medical doctor attention) can get costly. BARC needs some kind-hearted folks to help bring this little buddy back to life by donating and spreading the word.
